Hearing Tests

If you struggle to understand the conversations around you, and just trying to get by leaves you exhausted, this is exactly what happens to people who suffer with hearing loss.  As a result, you may start to withdraw from many of the activities you used to enjoy, because certain scenarios might tire you out, or might be embarrassing or difficult.

If you think your hearing is declining or if you are concerned about the hearing of a family member, ask your GP for a referral for a diagnostic hearing assessment.

 If you experience a Sudden Hearing Loss or a rapid loss of hearing, it is a hearing emergency. It may be in one or both ears. There are a number of causes requiring prompt audiological assessment in order to identify if it is a conductive or sensorineural hearing loss and early commencement of treatment is most likely to improve the chances of full recovery and prevent permanent hearing damage.
