Deborah Pallett
Clinical Audiologist
Deborah is a founding director of Hearing Innovations. Deborah has been an audiologist since 1977 and has experience in both public and private audiology services. She has worked in many ENT practices throughout Sydney and worked extensively with hearing impaired children as a Paediatric Audiologist with the National Acoustic Laboratories. Deborah has a particular interest in hearing aid technology and cochlear implants and she set up the cochlear implant program at Hearing Innovations in 2004. Deborah continues to advance her knowledge with regular courses in audiology.
Robin Laing
Clinical Audiologist
Robin is a founding director of Hearing Innovations. Robin has been working as a clinical specialist in the Eastern Suburbs for many years. She has a strong ENT background having worked initially with ENT Specialists. Prior to opening Hearing Innovations, Robin was the principal audiologist and manager of a diagnostic clinic for hearing and balance disorders and oversaw the opening of four other specialist audiology clinics in Sydney. Robin’s audiology skills are particularly suited to managing the needs of complex clients.
Lauren Berkowitz
Clinical Audiologist
Lauren qualified in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Pathology from the University of Cape Town. After completing her degree, she worked as a clinical audiologist managing two private practices. Lauren also worked as a clinical specialist for a major hearing aid manufacturer in South Africa and as a clinical supervisor of audiology students at university. Lauren joined our team in 2009 after moving to Sydney with her husband and young son.
Isabelle Pallett
Clinical Audiologist
Isabelle graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science from Sydney University in 2009. During university she began working part-time at Hearing Innovations as a receptionist when she became inspired to become an audiologist. She completed her Master of Clinical Audiology at Macquarie University in 2017 after which she joined the team at Hearing Innovations as an audiologist. Isabelle enjoys working alongside her mother, Deborah, and the other team members. She is particularly interested in tinnitus management and aural rehabilitation which assists with overcoming communication breakdown to improve quality of life of the patients and their family members.
